Deer Deer As the grapes become sweet the deer come out of the woods and gorge themselves on the grapes. As a wildlife friendly vineyard we don't mind sharing a bit! Normal deer view, scampering off up the row August rain turns a potential problem into a potential vintage year When the red grapes start to turn from green to their final dark red it means harvest for them will be 40 days from that colour change. For anyone who knows our vineyard you know that right behind the tractor in this picture is a long very steep bank! Just before lunch Humphrey decided to do bank trimming with the tractor, scary for me but he said it was fine. |
