Just waiting for the last day of harvest tomorrow, the weather has held and it will be an amazing, classic year.
Yesterday we harvested our Cabernet Franc. What a classic year this is going to be. Stunning berries. Here above the harvesting machine (we share with a dozen other family size vineyards) tips the grapes into the wine trailer. Then into the vat to ferment for about 20 days.
The harvesting machine started before dawn and the picking was complete by 8.00am.then from trailer to press via the 'pig' pump. Lovely clean berries and delicious juice.
