Humphrey is allowed to leave his ninja turtle suit off now as his vertebrae are pretty much healed. A few months of physio though! It will be hard to keep him from working too hard. Here on the vineyard we are busy keeping pace with the spring growth. We keep every other row between the vines as a grass row. It is easier to stand and prune on grass than mud! Also at is time of year we are proud that our grass rows are full of orchids, butterflies, baby hares and much more. You can really have a wildlife friendly vineyard and still a great crop. It is a matter of adjusting management techniques
