Hoopoe and Ninja Turtle!

4/4/2016

The end of March was a bit too dramatic. Humphrey was surveying the space left for bottled stock, took a horrible fall and broke three vetebrae. He is now well on the mend thanks to splendid Bordeaux hospital and his own powers of recovery. He has to wear a brace for a while which the little girl at the doctors thought was a ninja turtle suit. Hoopoes arrived back from Africa. Meanwhile, in the quieter moments on the vineyard Matt and I continue with wires and tying down vines.

Sue Temperley  writes the Wine and Wildlife blog.
Humphrey's passion for winemaking and Sue's for wildlife breaks through the repetitive tasks of the vineyard year. Her photos are not that great but maybe with the incentive of this blog they will improve.
