Our Range of Wines

Our wines are made and bottled at our Chateau from our own grapes. We also, if the year is right, make a limited edition wine from a particular area of the vineyard. Our winemaking ensures that our wines retain the characteristics of our amazing “terroir”.  We use a long, cool fermentation and natural yeasts whenever we can. Very low sulfite wines like ours mean no headaches!

We use only natural corks, fine French oak barrels and store our wines in our naturally climatised “chai”.

Bergerac Rosé 2019

A dry yet fully flavoured rosé that is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We specialise in a method that allows the grapes to press gently under their own weight, or "saignée". The 2019 has a dry but strawberry filled flavour with a hint of spice. Totally delicious and our best ever.

Hachette award winner  Hachette is the wine buyers equivalent to the Michelin guide.
We are honoured to have our rosé included.

Cuvee Calcaire

The 2019 Cotes de Bergerac Rouge is a fine wine matured in french oak barrels for almost a year.  it is in the same tradition of our lightly naked wines .  A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with Merlot the 2019 has a slightly greater emphasis on the Cabernets.
Our oenologist describes it as "Un vin pluton elegant et fin, avec une belle densité et a l'aromatique délicat et fin".
it has already been selected for a prestigious new Wine Guide .
It is one to lay down as well as to drink now.

Bergerac Rouge
  Cuvée Classique 2019 and 2020

A lovely red in the classic Bergerac tradition. It is not an oak aged wine so is a lighter lunchtime red but still with a depth of flavour that it gets from our terroir.  A blend of Cabernets and Merlot it is ready for drinking now.

Bergerac Blanc Sec 2020

This glorious dry wine is our classic 50% blend of Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blend with a touch of Muscadelle. It has a lovely citrus nose but is rich and fruity in the mouth. Perfect with seafood, grilled chicken or as a lovely chilled apéro.

Champagne by any other name

Labels do not really make clear whether the fizz comes from making the sparkle by the traditional champagne method (like ours is) - gas produced by second fermentation in the bottle or the cheap Prosecco method of injecting carbon dioxide into a tank and filling the bottles under pressure. Our Brut is made by the traditional method. over eighteen months from grape to finished bottle this slow matured sparkling wine is "absolutely delicious"  Asimov. New York Times wine critic

Lestevénie Brut

Our highly popular sparking wine which has become a favourite for weddings and other festive occasions.
It is a very classy bottle fermented Brut made by the traditional method of the sort normally associated with much more expensive sparkling wine. It is matured deep in limestone cellars.
A delicious wine equally popular with wedding parties and those looking for an apero for a romantic evening. Very fine bubbles, a delicate nose and a lovely finish which is both dry and fruity.
